MEDICAL TATTOOING

Scar Camouflage • Stretch Mark Camouflage

Paramedical tattooing, also known as medical tattooing, is a specialized form of tattooing that helps improve the appearance of skin that has been affected by scars, surgery, stretch marks, or other skin irregularities. One of the main services within paramedical tattooing is called scar camouflage.

Scar camouflage is a technique where the Cosmetic Tattoo Artist custom-blend pigments to match your natural skin tone and implant that pigment into the scar tissue. The goal is to visually blend the scar into the surrounding skin so it becomes much less noticeable.

It’s important to understand that this treatment does not remove the scar or change the texture of the skin. What it does is help reduce the color contrast between the scar and your natural skin, which helps the scar blend in more naturally.

For best results, scars should typically be fully healed and at least 1 years old, and they should be flat and lighter than the surrounding skin.

Most scar camouflage treatments require multiple sessions, usually 2–7 sessions spaced about 8-12 weeks apart, because scar tissue absorbs pigment differently than normal skin and we gradually build the color for the most natural result.

During the Zoom/Facetime consultation, I will assess:

  • The type of scar

  • The age of the scar

  • The skin tone and undertones

  • Whether you’re a good candidate for camouflage

From there, I can recommend the best treatment plan for you.

The goal of this procedure is not perfection, but significant improvement so the scar is much less noticeable in everyday life.

Consultation recommended prior to booking to determine candidacy and pricing. Pricing is based on scar size, complexity, and treatment area. Final pricing is confirmed during consultation.
